Location

The Waves Complex

The Waves complex is situated on The Esplanade in the heart of Cowes, with Cowes beach right across the road, and only a short walk (or drive) to everything Cowes has to offer, including shops, cafes and restaurants.

Sur la Plage is ideally located within this complex with a serene communal courtyard outside the front door and one floor down, perfect for catching up with other friends staying on the Island, or sitting in the sun with a good book and cuppa.

The complex also features security entry, one secure off street carpark in the basement carpark, lift access, and communal BBQ and entertaining area at the rear of the block (or you can use the public BBQs across the road at the beach).

Outdoor Activities

Phillip Island boasts some of the best beaches in Australia, with calm safe beaches for relaxing, as well as many surf locations - it's rare you'll find a day when the swells not up!

Phillip Island also holds surf clinics and tournaments for men, women and juniors, and for those wanting to learn or refine their skills, there are surf shops on the Island to book in for a lesson.

Surf beaches on the southern coast of the Island can be very dangerous, so please check with the local surf shops for advice on suitable beaches for the day.

If it's too cold for a swim there is still lots to do on the Island:

- Walking and Cycling Trails

- Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit

- Fishing

- Golf

- Koala Conservation Centre

- The Nobbies

- Penguin Parade

- Wildlife Coast Cruises

- Scenic Helicopter Ride

Or for a fun day out visit Rhyll Trout and Bush Tucker Farm, catch your dinner and take it home or have them cook it for you.

Indoors & Shopping

For general shops and clothing, restaurants and cafes, you'll find everything on the main roads of Cowes, Thompson Avenue and The Esplanade. You'll find takeaway menus for our favourite eateries  at the property.

Phillip Island has a lot to offer when it comes to shopping, wining and dining.  Check out www.visitphillipisland.com for more info and upcoming farmers markets.

You must also check out the local wineries!  You'll be pleasantly surprised at how good some of the Island's wines are.
